How this calculator works

YouTube pays creators through RPM — revenue per 1,000 views. RPM swings wildly by niche (advertisers pay more to reach investors than gamers) and by country (US ad inventory costs more than most other markets). This calculator multiplies your views by realistic 2026 niche RPM ranges, adjusted for audience country.

The formula, in plain English:
1. Monthly low = (views ÷ 1,000) × niche low RPM × country factor
2. Monthly high = (views ÷ 1,000) × niche high RPM × country factor
3. Daily range = monthly range ÷ 30

Worked example

Priya’s finance channel gets 100,000 monthly views, mostly from the United States.
  1. Finance RPM range: $12 – $25 · country factor US: ×1.0
  2. Monthly low: (100,000 ÷ 1,000) × $12 × 1.0 = $1,200
  3. Monthly high: (100,000 ÷ 1,000) × $25 × 1.0 = $2,500
  4. Daily: $1,200 ÷ 30 = $40 to $2,500 ÷ 30 = $83.33
Try it: the defaults above already use Priya’s numbers — you should see $1,200 – $2,500 monthly and $40 – $83.33 daily.

Frequently asked questions

What is RPM?

RPM (revenue per mille) is how much you earn per 1,000 video views after YouTube’s 45% revenue share. It blends ad rates, ad fill, and viewer geography into one number.

Why does this show a range instead of one number?

Two finance channels can have very different RPMs depending on video length, audience age, and season (advertisers spend more in Q4). The range keeps expectations honest.

Does this include YouTube Shorts revenue?

No — Shorts pay far less per view through a separate revenue pool. This calculator is calibrated for regular long-form video views.

Why does the audience country matter so much?

Advertisers bid for viewers. A US viewer is worth far more ad spend than a viewer in a lower-CPM market, so the same 100,000 views can pay 5–7× more with a US audience.

How can I raise my RPM?

Make longer videos (more mid-roll ads), target high-value niches and keywords, grow a US/UK/CA/AU audience, and publish in Q4 when ad rates peak.

⚠️ Estimates only — not tax or financial advice. Actual RPM varies with seasonality, content, and audience. YouTube’s monetization policies apply.
